Coin Bracelet

Whilst interning at Shaun Leane Jewellery, I was asked to design and create a bracelet out of 1 pence and 2 pence coins, retaining the circular shape of the coins.
The process of making the bracelet included sawing around the queen's head, hammering the coins into curved shapes, creating flat edges on the coins by sanding, linking the coins by soldering the flat edges together, creating a chain using the edges of 2 pence coins by coiling them and sawing through them, and finally creating a bar closure that will fit through the gap in the first coin link.

This bracelet is made of 20 coins and is technically worth of a total of 28 pence.
